Bug Description

I am using Ubuntu Oneiric alpha 2 live ISO 64+mac. I boot it having D-Link DWA 160 USB WLAN adapter (Atheros chipset) attached. I pulled it out during boot and immediately got a kernel panic. Attached is a photo of the output.

Bah, Launchpad threw away my comment.

So, I typically wouldn't recommend yanking out devices during boot. That being said, just curious if you able to reproduce this panic after boot?

I had a kernel panic when removing a USB portable HD.

How can I diagnose that?
