Bug Description

Hello,

New Gwibber is faster and very nice. But multi-columns are missing. Do you plan to re-introduce the possibility to add many columns :

One for Twitter / Identica main timeline

One for mentions

One for Direct Messages

One for Facebook

One for future Google+ for example...

We weren't able to come up with a design and workflow that really fit for this in time. We are past feature freeze now for 3.2, so not likely to be able to get it into 3.2. However, it will be a high priority for 3.4, it is a popular feature that we need. We just need a way to implement it that is intuitive and natural to use. Designs welcome!

You should look at hotot, its has a prette clever way to show multiple columns, it will creating collumns based on window size.

here it is a screenshot from gwibber when you maximize the screen, for a second, it show multiple columns, thats the whay it should be maximized, maybe with diferent colors for services to easy diferenciate, but the actual interface is capable of doing this, you just have to stop "resizing" the main column!

You could also just allow multiple instances of the client, as the whole microblog-processing is done in a daemon anyways..

Work on gwibber has stopped as we now focus on friends. I think we should set this but to won't fix.

I hope I will finde some time in the next months to re-enable multi-column support in friends. Really want to see this too.
