Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . Thanks again and we appreciate your help.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Is the issue reproducible with GNOME Control Center 3.2? There's no recent comments on this report indicating that, could you please test and comment back?. Thanks again and we appreciate your help.

This bug also affects me on a fresh (like 1 hours ago) install of Ubuntu 13.04 amd64.

I ran Empathy, then attempted to set up a Facebook account, which sent me to their website, then gave me a "success...this url is like your password" message, without actually letting me use the account with Empathy. I then successfully set up my Gmail account with Empathy. After this, whenever I go to the Empathy > Accounts menu, or attempt to access Online Accounts through the control center, the Online Accounts window comes up for about 1 second, then disappears. Sometimes, it suggests reporting a bug.

Thanks for all your work, and please let me know if you need more information.

Oh, and I installed all available updates (and rebooted) before running Empathy for the first time.
