Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
In Feisty Herd3 the installer hangs at "Starting up the partitioner (Scanning Disks)" at 46%. I also tried "ubiquity --old-partitioner" as suggested in the announcement, but that didn't work either. The full error messages:

I had the same problem, partman seeming to hang at exactly 46%. After randomly killing some child processes, which didn't work (what a surprise), I decided to quit ubiquity and retry it from start.
Again, a hang at 46%, but this time I chose to wait. After aprox. 5 min. the installation process continued without a flaw...
I couldn't find a reason for this pause.
