Bug Description

version: 0.9.0-0ubuntu2

Currently gnome-bluetooth is listed as a Recommends for network-manager-gnome. I'd like to request this to be dropped down to a suggests and have gnome-bluetooth be seeded in the appropriate places (xubuntu,lubuntu, ubuntu, edubuntu etc) instead.

Mythbuntu amd64 disks are oversized, and as much as I'd like to include bluetooth support, we're struggling to find other areas to cut cruft at this point.

Triaging; I'm not against it, but let's see what Debian has to say about the change. I've already pinged the maintainer; I'd like to avoid keeping a diff for this.

Ubuntu already seeds gnome-bluetooth in desktop.

For others:
 - Lubuntu doesn't follow recommends, and already seeds gnome-bluetooth.
- Edubuntu is already fine, as it's based off of the desktop seed, which already pulls gnome-bluetooth (as above).

*** - Xubuntu pulls network-manager-gnome but not gnome-bluetooth, will need to be fixed;
*** - Ubuntu Studio pulls network-manager-gnome but not gnome-bluetooth, will need to be fixed.

Closing the xubuntu-meta task as Invalid following feedback from micahg; since Xubuntu is currently considering possibly changing to a different app, gnome-bluetooth can be seeded if required at that time.

ubuntu studio does not wish to explicitly or implicitly include gnome-bluetooth as we really aren't a pure "desktop" distribution and could have an adverse impact on audio recordings due to either increased latency or xruns.

Thanks for the comment Scott. I'll mark the ubuntustudio-meta task invalid too then.

This bug was fixed in the package network-manager-applet - 0.9.0-0ubuntu3

---------------
network-manager-applet (0.9.0-0ubuntu3) oneiric; urgency=low

  * debian/patches/clear-notification-actions.patch: clear actions tied to
    notifications being sent; otherwise stacking notifications also causes the
    attached actions to be stacked (resulting in multiple "Don't show this"
    buttons appearing in the notification bubble. (LP: #606825)
  * debian/control: drop gnome-bluetooth to Suggests. (LP: #844027)
  * debian/patches/key-certificate-extensions.patch: allow using a key
    certificate with a .key extension in network security dialogs. (LP: #839864)
