Bug Description

Unity does not allow citrix remote desktop to open full screen. Further there is an issue with clicks. There is vertical space between pointer on the remote screen ad finally where it clicks. The distance is probably the size of unity bar at top.

I found that this step in article 1763428 will allow for full desktop, however the mouse is still off focus. I think switching workspaces aligns the scrn without the unity bar

"Re: Unity and Citrix
I use Citrix receiver in full screen, and most of the time, I don't get the unity overlay.

I put the Citrix screen onto workspace 2, allow it to load, then press CTRL+F2 (to focus back to my desktop). Then Ctrl+Alt+left to scroll back to workspace 1.

Switching back to Workspace 2 - if I click on the Citrix icon in the Unity bar, then I don't get it overlaid, but if I use Ctrl+Alt+right, then I do... Weird!"

Hi,

Can the reporter do two things here
1) try this on ubuntu 12.04
2) grab an xwininfo -all of the window + xwininfo -root -tree

Might help with debugging.

Tried briefly in 12.04 beta2 as of today. It has certainly improved.

Some notes:

 * it now seems to obey window size preferences requests (e.g. 1024x768) set on the server
 * it makes an app window of this size, which can then be resized
 * if this window is maximised (as opposed to full screen) it is sized leaving the unity bar in place at the top
 * no cursor misplacement/offset problems seemed to occur in any of this
 * if the session requests full screen, it gets it. Desktop was all white until the screen was refreshed or areas redrawn/exposed.
 * I couldn't find a way to get out of the fullscreen session, e.g. to change to a different ubuntu desktop, even with the cursor on a second monitor, other than disconnecting from within the windows session.
 * if the preferences are set for relative sizes (e.g. 80% of screen) then the result appears to be calculated from the total size of multiple monitors, rather than the monitor the client app is going to appear on.

I dispute that the problem is entirely within citrix; there are plenty of
other full screen programs broken by unity, no doubt with some issues on
each side.

That citrix has evidently found a work-around is nice, but just points to
the endless delays in this bug.

Vipul, you can download Citrix Receiver for Linux v13 public beta at http://www.citrix.com/downloads/citrix-receiver/betas-and-tech-previews.html
You will need to test it on a 32 bit system for now as there is a multiarch issue (whereby libwekitgtk:i386 depends on a non-installable libwebkitgtk-common package) that impacts 64 bit systems.
