Scrolling the mousewheel over the sound-indicator doesn't adjust the volume

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

Xfce4-indicator-plugin is missing a callback apparently (it was lost between 0.2.1 and 0.3.0). This is a regression from natty.

The following patch should fix it, but I haven't really tested it carefully (nor sent it upstream).

The attachment "readd_on_scroll_event.patch" of this bug report has been identified as being a patch. The ubuntu-reviewers team has been subscribed to the bug report so that they can review the patch. In the event that this is in fact not a patch you can resolve this situation by removing the tag 'patch' from the bug report and editing the attachment so that it is not flagged as a patch. Patch committed upstream, will be part of xfce4-indicator-plugin 0.4.0 that should be released today (then, 0.4.0 will go into precise, and 0.3.1 + this patch to oneiric-updates).

Fixed in precise. The fix for oneiric is waiting for approval, and should be available for wider testing in a few days (you'll be able to test it as described on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification and https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed).
