We're just about getting the proper configs in place for UCM at our current Linaro release, so I believe we can simply just enable it with the current Ubuntu release as well.

FWIW We do have support for PandaES in Linaro's current releases. The Linaro alsa-lib that was included with 12.01 is based on the alsa that is packaged for precise. If you look in the ppa:linaro-maintainers/overlay you'll find what we currently have.

There will be an update in 12.02 which is being worked on as part of this week's linaro connect.

For what it's worth, until it lands in Ubuntu Precise, this is still a valid bug. I'm glad to see Linaro is working on it, but that doesn't solve the here and now that users are experiencing. Please close this when the fix is released, thanks.

On further testing, it appears that the only change is to s/HS/Headset to /usr/share/alsa/ucm/Panda/* . Will remove alsa-utils from the bug as invalid.
