Bug Description

Message picked up from .xsession-errors.
GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: GApplication subclass 'GnoteApp' failed to chain up on ::startup (from start of override function)

The app itself starts and runs ok via launcher.
When attempting to close the app via it's status icon it doesn't apply to it.
Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_main_quit: assertion `main_loops != NULL' failed

Vibhav: thanks for your patch, but I think that "Author" should be the person who wrote the code. In this case this would be Aurimas Černius. (Check out http://dep.debian.net/deps/dep3/ for more info.) I'll update this and upload in a bit.

I built the package with the patch you applied and it didn't work.

The reason is that the change in configure.ac does not propagate into the configure file (which is generated from configure.ac). For this reason I added dh-autoreconf as Build-Depends and in debian/rules. This can be dropped as soon as the patch is rolled into a new upstream version. I'll make a note of the change in debian/changelog.
