Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

Ubuntu Edgy
Nautilus 2.16.1

When selecting a folder, right-clicking it, choosing Properties from the contextual menu, Permissions tab,and changing permissions, followed by clicking "Apply permissions to enclosed files", it only applies the CHMOD permissions, not the CHOWN permissions recursively, ie changing the owner or group is not applied recursively as expected.

I have marked the bug affecting the "Hundred Papercuts Project" as invalid as changing file and folder permissions does not meet the papercut criteria of being encountered by the average user on a regular basis.

the issue has been fixed with nautilus 3.6 in raring (by removing the confusion of the action, not by adding the option)
