I just completed upgrading from edgy to fiesty. Reboot. Login. Crash reports states that update-manager crashed.

Can you please attach the files in /var/log/dist-upgrade/ ? Did you upgrade using the ubuntu or the kubuntu upgrader?

Thanks for the logs.

What theme did you use during the upgrade? It looks like something went wrong during the upgrade but the logs are unclear. Did everything look normal during the upgrade and after the reboot?

I was using the default Gnome theme on this machine.

The upgrade to Feisty through the update-manager did not complete
successfully, and I had to manually finish it myself with a "dpkg
--configure -a"/"aptitude dist-upgrade". Unfortunately, I do not remember
why the upgrade did not complete successfully.

After the reboot, everything looked normal, except for (a) the crash report
icon and (b) screen resolution (but that was due to having to enable the
nvidia drivers).
