I can add some weirdness to this.

I am seeing this on an amd64 system running 12.04 (upgraded continually since Alpha 1). No amount of tinkering with apt sources either in the GUI or in /etc/apt/sources.list[.d/*] has any effect -- I'm unable to see any software for purchase in the software center.

On another system, I performed a fresh install of 12.04 (release) i386. I was initially unable to see the 'lordofultima' package. I opened the 'software sources' configurator from within the software center and noted that the partner repository was not enabled. Within a few seconds of checking the partner deb and source repos, the software center window showed the Lord of Ultima package and allowed me to download it.

Now the weird part: on the first (amd64) system, I was still unable to see the 'lordofultima' package. However, if I went to 'reinstall previous purchases' in the software center, it was there and I was able to click on it and get the full package info, and even install it! It now shows up when I search for 'lordofultima'. However, the 'for purchase' application section is still totally blank in the software center.

I'll apport-collect this first from the amd64 system that has the issue and then from the i386 system that doesn't. I am happy to add the contents of /etc/apt/sources.list from either/both system or try anything up to and including destructive/reinstallation tests.

Above is the apport data from the amd64 system exhibiting this bug behavior.

Below is the apport data from the i386 system that works as expected after enabling the partner repo.

I am experiencing the same problem described in the title.

I can add that I regularly see the "Lord of Ultima" banner in the Software Center highlights
After performing an apt-search via the command line, I had conformation that the requested package is *not* in my software list, whatever tool I may be using to try installing it.

It seems that todays upgrade corrected this issue. At least I can find it now.
