Bug Description

I reported a bug on the KDE bug tracker (see: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=299685) and got a response from developer Martin Gräßlin.

His conclusion was that kwin was compiled (in error) against OpenGL ES but that is not supported by fglrx (my driver), resulting in the bug I reported. He suggested I forward this report to the Kubuntu devs.

Also, I tried to uninstall the packages libkwinactiveglesutils1 and libkwinglesutils1, but that did not help and only succeeded in also removing the metapackages kde-workspace-dev and kdebase-workspace-dev.

Hi,
thank you for taking your time to report this bug and helping to make Kubuntu better.
I'll talk to Martin about the best way to figure this out. (We do need to provide an openGLES version)
