2 Oct 2017 ... When I set the scale to 200% on Ubuntu 17.10 Beta 2 it sets it correctly for my
session. If I reboot then the scale is reset back to 100% but the value on the
control center "displays" section shows "200%". To work around it I save the scale
to 100% then save it back to 200%. After rebooting I have to do this ...

When I set the Scale of the Built-in display at gnome-control-center > Devices >
Displays from 200% to 100% and click "Apply", the gnome-shell session crashed
and brought ... gnome-shell crashed with SIGSEGV in

4 Jun 2016 ... Freya supports whole number HiDPI scale, like GNOME 3. It is based on GDK 3's
scale. But my laptop is 14', 1920x1080. It means everything should scale 1.3x or
1.5x to fit it. In KDE, I can set the icon size larger and set font DPI larger. Unity
also offer non-whole number scaling in the Control Center.
