Mounting mostly read only stuff from a cheap USB 2.0 memory stick
eliminates moving disk heads and thus can improve overall system
performance on low end systems short on cache memory.
Be warned, ATM this is highly experimental stuff and there is no
guarantee whatsoever that using it won't nuke your environment.
