Bug Description

On Edgy , Xchat crashes on dcc get. I did a gdb trace and submitted it to the xchat bug report and they said it crashed due to gtk.
I don't get this problem with irssi.
Any help would be appreciated.

xchat also crashes every time I start it up. I am not sure how to give you a print out of the problem so I am not sure why it is crashing. It is reproducible. It happens every time I attempt to start xchat or gnome xchat.

Can you please try if this happens with no .xchat configuration files? You can use e.g.
$ xchat --configdir /tmp
in a terminal window to use a "non-existing" configuration directory.

Due to the length of time it took to receive an response to this problem; I
have switched distros and am now running slackware.
