Bug Description
Binary package hint: synaptic
Search on name+description in current Dapper version (0.57.8) for "swf" finds, among other packages, libwftk-dev. The description reads:
WorldForge Toolkit - a C++ widget toolkit - development files
wftk is a C++ widget library created by the WorldForge project, based on
libuta. It uses SDL, SDL-mixer, sigc++ and freetype.
This does not contain the string "swf" although if you remove the newline between the first two lines it would.
So Synaptic seems to search on munged text ('apt-cache search swf' does not find this) with whitespace removed.
This is a minor bug but fixing it would reduce the number of unwanted items in search results list.
