Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

I install a feisty beta on a brand new Lenovo T60 notebook. I selected manual partitioning, and deleted both factory setup partitions: a ntfs partition and one of type compaq diagnostics. I then wanted to create a new one, but the installer crashed. I then restarted the installer. The partitions were there again, and the partitioner crashed after deleting the first partition (compaq).

Both times, the following message was shown:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/frontend/kde-ui.py", line 1950, in on_partition_list_delete_activate
    index = selected[0]
IndexError: list index out of range

Thanks for your report. This is also bug 95429, and is fixed in more recent daily builds.

Hmm.. Then please let the KUbuntu team know about the fix, Kubuntu 7.04 died with the same error for me today. Fresh download.
