Bug Description

On Samsung Origen board with Linaro ubuntu pre-built image:

WiFi is unavailable.

Couple of questions/comments on this:

It looks like the wifi card/dongle is not being seen by the kernel. Can you check the system log to make sure that a) the driver is being loaded if it is a module, and b) any error messages from the driver if it is in fact being loaded? If it's not being loaded, than we need to figure out why. Is the wifi card on USB or or some other bus? Can you do an lsusb if on USB to ensure it is seen?

Did images before 08/28 work? If so, do we have a log of kernel and userland changes between that and the previous build?

Can also reproduce the issue with https://snapshots.linaro.org/precise/pre-built/leb-origen/365/leb-origen-precise_ubuntu-desktop_20120924-365.img.gz (12.09 RC1).

The interface is not even loaded.

I get better results without device-tree, but still not able to connect:

Workaround: symlink /lib/firmware/ath6k/AR6003/hw2.0/bdata.SD31.bin to /lib/firmware/ath6k/AR6003/hw2.0/bdata.bin
