Bug Description

Binary package hint: k3b

On feisty with k3b 1.0-0ubuntu2 installed k3b copies DVD+RW to itself without any questions.

Steps to reproduce:

Insert DVD+RW containing ISO-FS (Video) into DVD-Recorder at /dev/hdd
(Ubuntu mounts filesystem)

start k3b
Klick Copy DVD
Select use same drive to burn
k3b reads DVD-RW and writes ISO-image
k3b ejects DVD-RW
k3b loads DVD-RW
k3b burns to _same_ DVD-RW (overwriting)
k3b erases image file

Problem:

So k3b burned the image to the source DVD-RW again without asking any questions.
k3b setting 'CD-RW/DVD-RW auto erase' (translated from german) was _not_ checked, but even if it would be checked k3b should _not_ do this.

still not fixed upstream. Besides the trick to generate first the image, I will see if there is a way to configure k3b to execute some script when ejecting the disk.

I ripped out the DVD-RW when the tray opens shortly. It then retracts...and... k3b does this:

growisofs
-----------------------
:-( /dev/hdb: media is not recognized as recordable DVD: 0

fatal error at startup: wrong medium type.

LOL, there is NO medium, the tray is empty. Can a software behave dumber than that?
