This is not a hwdb-client bug.
This tool is only responsible for compiling a list of hardware components
More likely a kernel problem or missing firmware

Note that your Traceback.txt pointed to a missing image that caused hwdb-client to crash (/usr/share/hwdb-client/email.png) but it is likely to be fixed by reinstalling the package and it is a different issue that written in subject and initial description
