Evolution Mail Handling w. Virtual Folders

Thank you for your bug. Where do you get the unread option? Do you right click on the item? Do you have all the item read or unread there?

Voici le mode opératoire :)

1 - Dans Evolution, Dossiers de recherche, répertoire virtuel 'Autres
courriels', click souris droit, 'Marquer les messages comme lu' boîte de
dialogue 'Marquer tous les messages dans le sous dossier comme lus'

2 - Si on choisit 'marquer comme lu', rien ne se passe. Il faut choisir
'ne pas marquer comme lu' pour obtenir le contraire, bref la traduction
a inversé les deux fonctions.

marking unconfirmed, not sure if that's really a bug, should probably be sent upstream by somebody with has an issue with the way it's working

Since I do not have Evo in French, I am following from 'dossiers de recherche' -- I guess "autres courriels" will match to English "Unmatched", although I cannot really understand this translation (but, perhaps this translation follows more the meaning of the virtual folder than the English one...).

Anyway. I can reproduce it, on Gutsy Evo 2.11.4. Will look upstream for a potentially already reported entry -- this should be not so unheard of...

The "Mark all Read" dialog is misleading: it actually *always* mark as read -- either the current folder only, if you select "ne pas marquer comme lu", or the current folder and subfolders otherwise.

In other words: the dialog, if *either* option is selected, will mark as read some emails.

To compound the misery of misleading selections, if you select "Marquer tous les messages..." ... it will check, for each (sub) folder, if it is a virtual folder. If it is, *nothing* is done. This test is not performed if you select "ne pas...", so it will mark the messages in the "autres courriels" virtual folder. Keep in mind that all folders under the search folder are virtual.

You can check on it by creating standard folders and subfolders under it, copying some emails there, marking them as unread, and trying it there.

So... the options are *NOT* inverted. It is just the way the two issues above combine that makes it look so. I will propose a patch upstream on this.
