Confirmed.

E-mails have both automatically generated AND custom signatures - AND from all my identities. Only way to stop this is to turn signatures off for all identities.

Yes, I get this too. I have two email accounts in Evolution, one for home and one for Work. I have created signature named 'Home' and another named 'Work'. If I create a new home email I just get the Home signature. If I reply (or Group reply) to a home email, I get 2 Home signatures. If I create a new work email I get a Work signature followed (underneath) by a Home signature. If I reply to a work email I get 2 Work signatures and then a Home signature!

Apparently upstream this is fixed in 3.6.1 maintenance release. Can this be built and released in Ubuntu main?

I suppose this should be reported upstream on Gnome lists... I think that the (something more) supported MUA for Ubuntu is thunderbird - although it too has its share of unresolved bugs since ages...
I switched to TB and a local dovecot server for my mbox archives, and I have to say that it's a whole better than evolution in a lot of things, especially with very big mboxes like mines.

No need to report this again on the gnome lists; this is already fixed in evolution/e-d-s 3.6.2.

We'll ship 3.6.2 as a SRU shortly.

Brian Murray (brian-murray) wrote : Please test proposed package

Hello Paul, or anyone else affected,

Accepted evolution into quantal-proposed. The package will build now and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/3.6.2-0ubuntu0.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance!
