Install Ubuntu 6.06 LTS onto a MacBook Pro.

I'm sure that the crash has something to do with the fact that the new Intel-based Macs use the EFI/GPT partition scheme rather than the older MBR scheme, but IMO, the Installer should give me the option of not using a boot loader. I looked for such an option but saw nothing. And even if it doesn't give me the option, it shouldn't crash. It should gracefully exit. Not everyone wants to use grub (it was in the midst of installing grub to hd0 it said, when it crashed) or any boot loader for that matter.

6.06 didn't support Intel Macs, but 7.04 should work fine. See bug 46853.
