Bug Description

Hello,

When I try to install smartmontools and the smart-notifier with the Synaptic Package Manager, I get the following error:

E: smartmontools: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
E: smart-notifier: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

Can anybody please confirm the installation error of smartmontools, or is it due because I am not using a clean system?

I think that you can close this bug:

After doing a complete removal of smartmontools and smart-notifier with the Synaptic Package Manager,I was able to install them without a problem.

PS: The system is an dist-upgrade from edgy to feistey.
