Bug Description

Binary package hint: sound-juicer

I am using Sound Juicer 2.16.3 with Ubuntu Feisty. I have tried a couple different profiles as well as a new one, and the same problem occurs. While attempting to rip a CD, the CD will eject after ripping one song at most, sometimes it will eject without completing a single song. This is my first attempt at ripping a CD in the Ubuntu environment, as I am a newbie (1 month experience).

Thank you for your bug. Do you have any error on the command line if you run sound-juicer there? You are the first one to complain about that, not sure what is creating it and it'll not be easy to debug by somebody not getting the bug

Here are the messages I received when executing Sound Juicer from the command line:

This warning appeared after inserting the Music CD:

** (sound-juicer:5676): WARNING **: No property volume.disc.capacity on device with id /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/volume_part_1_size_303894528

After extracting two files, the CD ejected and the following messages appeared:

(sound-juicer:5676): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_list_store_set_valist: assertion `VALID_ITER (iter, list_store)' failed

(sound-juicer:5676): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_source_remove: assertion `tag > 0' failed

The following appeared while closing the application:

(sound-juicer:5676): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_list_store_set_valist: assertion `VALID_ITER (iter, list_store)' failed
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Please let me know if there is more information that you need. Thanks for your help.

That indicates a crash. Could you try to obtain a backtrace http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and attach the file to the bug report?
