Bug Description

Binary package hint: xubuntu-default-settings

when using the xubuntu-7.04-desktop-i386.iso as a live CD, upon initial boot, the task bar at the top and bottom do not show up, only the desktop icons.

there doesn't appear to be any way to log out.

after killing the x server with ctrl-alt-backspace, and letting gdm autologin, the task bars appear fine.

tested this on two different machines.

this usually appears when there's not enough RAM, but could be something else. how much RAM the two machines have?
