Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

This issue happen only after a boot of my PC, the first time I want to see the properties of a file (no matter the file type).
When I kill Nautilus, it restart, and after I don't have the problem anymore.

Step to reproduce:
1) boot the PC
2) right click on any file
==> Nautilus freeze. The only thing I can do is to kill him.

During the freeze status, Nautilus create a "nautilus-debug-log-txt" file. I attach this file to this bug report

As saying before, after Nautilus is restarted, the problem is no more present.

Hi,

as requested I have installed the debug symbols package of Nautilus, and reproduced the problem.
Attached the gdb log.

The crash file indicates the problem is due to nautilus-python

I haven't experienced any crashes; however, the log file is present in my home directory.

Does anyone know which Python extension Nautilus was trying to use when the problems occurred? You can get verbose debugging message on the standard output from nautilus-python by setting NAUTILUS_PYTHON_DEBUG=misc in the environment. I suspect this may be bug I just fixed which caused Nautilus to hang whenever I called the get_vfs_file_info() method of a NautilusFileInfo object in a Python extension. I filed a report on GNOME's bugzilla <URL:http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=500996>. I also have patched packages in my PPA <URL:https://edge.launchpad.net/%7Ejonner/+archive>.
