Bug Description

so, the problem sounds like that:

after upgrading to feisty, from time to time, when i wake up my laptop after a power off i get no network running. i am connected to the internet through a modem and my ISP uses dhcp to assign me an IP. problem is that this is not reproductible, it doesn't happen every time, just sometime, and when it does what i have to do to bring the connection up is to reset the modem and after that do a "sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart". i'm pretty sure that the KNetworkManager messes something up. it might be of relevance that i also have a wireless network card activated, but no wireless network around me. i've just disabled the wireless card to see if it solves anything. if so, will come back later with an EDIT.
