Please look at a backport from Gutsy to Dapper. Please provide debian/changelog for the new versions and let me know test results.

Tried to build with pbuilder-dapper and no success

 -> Considering debhelper (>= 5.0.37.2)
      Tried versions: 5.0.7ubuntu13
   -> Does not satisfy version, not trying

then tried build with debuild -us -uc -rfakeroot

dpkg-checkbuilddeps: Unmet build dependencies: debhelper (>= 5.0.37.2) python-all-dev python-all-dbg python-central (>= 0.5.0) zope-debhelper (>= 0.3.4)

dapper does not have python-central.

backported python-central to Dapper and edited psycopg2 debian/control to dependency fix and now it needs
 /usr/bin/pyversions which is included in edgy's python-2.4.3-11ubuntu3

should I try with python ?
