Bug Description

The new version is out and I've packaged it, but it's dropping some public symbols (which seemed to have been exported by mistake before?), better to have some extra testing before upload so I've put it in the desktop team ppa:
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-desktop/+archive/ppa

Hey Steve, Ccing you since you know freetype better than me, do you have an opinion on those symbols being dropped?

Do you think it's likely to be an issue at all? It seems to work fine from my local testing and most of those symbols were not exposed in the public .h files
