Bug Description

Binary package hint: apt-file

apt-file (2.0.8.2ubuntu1) contains few accidentally created files, which cause no harm, but should be removed from the native package.

These files are:
$ find ./apt-file-2.0.8.2ubuntu1 -size 0
./apt-file-2.0.8.2ubuntu1/return
./apt-file-2.0.8.2ubuntu1/echo
./apt-file-2.0.8.2ubuntu1/stdout
./apt-file-2.0.8.2ubuntu1/2.0.8ubuntu2

I was supposed to create a diff that removes these spurious files, but I couldn't figure out how to do that with empty files.
I'll attach a debdiff for the maintainer mangle part though.

Thanks for reporting the bug. It's tricky to capture file deletion, as diff -u doesn't indicate deletion. This is especially the case for native packages, where one is attempting to delete files that are not stored as part of a diff.gz.
