Bug Description

The version of achemso is in texlive-latex-extra 2005.dfsg.3-1 is 1998-07-08. There are updates from 2007: http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/achemso/

Can the latest version of achemso gets dropped into an updated texlive-latex-extra? Thanks.

Are there plans to update this soon? The package has a new maintainer and has had numerous improvement (esp. since 1998! :) ). The package has changed to the point that the achemso in apt is wholly different from the achemso from ctan. Please make this a priority for the next release, as the files currently included are grossly out of date.

Thanks for the updating to the 2007 version, but there is a new version from 2009-11-01 at CTAN ( http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/achemso/ ).

TeXLive 2009 which is now in Lucid comes with the version released on 2009-09-01, which should be good enough.
