can't drag'n'drop music files on amarok tray icon

Bug Description

Binary package hint: amarok

Hi.
I'm using gnome + Amarok.
Since I upgraded to Feisty,
dropping mp3 and ogg-files on the amarok icon in the tray doesn't work.

Until edgy, it appeared a menu where I had the possibility to choose between play/enqenue etc.
Now, in the panel beside a new icon is created, with an red cross in it.

Hi, is this still a problem in Gutsy, or better yet, Hardy?

I tried to duplicate your bug in Ubuntu but it does not appear that Gnome has the same "drop to tray" functionality that KDE does.

Unfortunately this is still a problem. Under special conditions, it happens again. I will post a video here.
I dont understand on which conditions it depends. How can I help?

My up-to-date intrepid has this behaviour again.
Dropping a file on the icon just opens a "Create Launcher"-window,
like dropping any file on a gnome-panel.

The gnome-panel does not have this functionality to drag and drop directly into applications on the panel and since what you submitted is not really a bug, or a problem, but rather an idea to change or improve something in Ubuntu, you are invited to post your idea in Ubuntu Brainstorm at http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/ where it can be discussed, voted by the community and reviewed by developers. I am sorry, but this used to work. So it cant be gnome-panel. Maybe Ill test some old amarok version on karmic.
