Yakuake opens in nonexisting monitor

Bug Description

Binary package hint: yakuake

I recently introduced an additional resolution in my setup to include through MergedFB an external monitor, which is so far working well. However, when I launch yakuake in single monitor resolution, it seems as though the terminal is opened, but in a position that might correspond to the monitor that isn't there. When I press F12, the current window goes out of focus, and a yakuake process indeed exists, can be killed, and relaunched. But even when I relaunch yakuake is invisible.

Does this just happen with Yakuake? I think I have had similar issues with other apps and had to tell it which window to open up in. I take it you extended your desktop, as this is what I had done previously when trying to get a MythTV setup working.

OK, this isn't a bug really. What you have to do is go into Yakuake by hitting that middle down arrow on the right hand side and go into the configuration. Set Yakuake to open on the screen you wish. Thanks.

I extended the monitor using the XRandr applet that comes with the Gnome
desktop a few times before, yes. Firefox also has problems with this; when
you try to open Firefox without the extended desktop, the process hangs but
does not respond.

Is there any way to suggest as a feature enhancement that Yakuake detect
valid current monitors? The problem is that if I last closed Yakuake on the
second monitor and I restart it again I'm not able to select that option.
