Binary package hint: yelp
i have nvidia gs 7600 card with cdrom driver
i am not sure if it has linux drivers
but cannot even start the SETUP.EXE file., in fact none of the setup.exe files work
i am not able to increase the resolution at all
however, managed to make the restricted driver work. the systems says the nvidia driver is there (on its own) but still cannot increase resolution.
when i boot up i can see the "restricted driver" small message on one of the boot screens

Thank you for your bug report.
mayank:
Generally speaking, Windows binary files will not run under Linux (this isn't entirely true but this is a good enough explanation for now).
This is more of a support issue ("How do I fix my low resolution") and may have been better asked over on https:/ /answers. launchpad. net/ (especially if the following sounds too technical) . However since you're here can you indicate whether the information linked from https:/ /help.ubuntu. com/community/ BinaryDriverHow to/Nvidia helps you to solve your problem (please make a copy of /etc/X11/xorg.conf before attempting any steps)...
