Bug Description

Mahara 1.6/1.7 etc

Can I suggest that the above config option be added (commented) out to the config-defaults.php file?

My selfish concern is that, as it is not there, it may get forgotten about and we rely heavily on this feature. It may also be useful to other sites who at the moment will have no clue that it exists.

Certainly! I've already been planning to document EVERY config option in config-dist.php, config-defaults.php, or make it accessible via the admin web interface: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mahara/+bug/1185297

I haven't gotten around to that yet, but I'll go ahead and add this particular one now.

I described it using the text that was already present in htdocs/auth/xmlrpc/lib.php . It may be possible to write a clearer description of what this actually does -- the text in htdocs/auth/xmlrpc/lib.php is mostly about the dangers of turning it on.

That text in the manual is exactly the same text as what's in the code, which is what I put in config-dist.php So at least it's all in agreement! :)
