Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution-exchange

Every time I start evolution it downloads my complete inbox for offline usage, even if there are no new messages. Although it happens in the background, it slows down evolution considerably and is a waste of bandwidth.

You may have enabled an option for the synchronization. Open your account settings, and go to the "Receiving Options" tab. Check whether "Automatically synchronize account locally" is enabled.

Another possibility is right-click your Inbox, select Properties, and see whether "Copy folder content locally for offline operation" is enabled.

If neither of those is enabled, make sure it's not just "fetching summary information", which can take a longer than expected.

If you could supply the results of those checks, that will help us narrow this down.
