Bug Description
almost a duplicate of Bug #1140857. Running 13.04 since April, problem not in evidence until today (05 October 2013) synaptic package manager has stopped working unless I run synaptic-pkexec from command line, when I do I get:
root@dasher-
(synaptic:12496): Gtk-WARNING **: GtkNotebook 0x18004a0 is mapped but visible child GtkLabel 0x1a02640 is not mapped
about 90 lines of it, but it works this way. I tried running apt-get install --reinstall synaptic
which was successful but did not fix the problem.
