Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

ubuntu 7.04 installing new software as offered by ubuntu-org reports error 119856 (as it has occuured as well on previous ubuntu-versions; always happening only after an initial period of successful updates!) . After a lot of less userfriendly and more uncromprehensible terminalscreens I managed toreach the point op dpkg-help with 'aptitude' as gui. At the present point of action I am not alloed to succeed while I am not reckognized as superuser. This happens although I had in the previous step renewed my systemadministratorstatus by confirming my entitlement as administrator. I am completely desperate about this awkward dialogues which are far beyond my normal limits of understanding what is going on & what should I do to solve the problem & to prevent it happening again.
PLEASE help me now & pass my screem for a more userfriendly userdialogue (without changeover to terminal dialogues) to the development-teams.

Receive my regards,

ton brans (a fan of ubuntu-adorer & -promoter of its values and services which could make MicroSoft blush and 'fade away')
