Bug Description

I just installed ubuntu today and when i go to configure the screen saver it seems like it is crashing my screen goes black then it goes right to the login screen. When i go to system - preferences - screen saver it will do this like 5 seconds after i open it. Also I can see that the screen saver is set to come on after 10 minutes i let my computer sit for 10 minutes then it seems like the screen saver is going to come on then the same thing happens the screen goes black then right to the login screen. After I installed ubuntu it said the there were 91 updates, I downloaded and installed all of them.

I have supposed it is Ubuntu until you answer, and made it on gnome-screensaver package.
Could you check if there is some files in /var/crash ?

It is Ubuntu. And it's not a screensaver that I made. Maybe I wasn't clear I
apologize for that but it is when I go to screensaver under preferences and
as soon as that window opens the system goes to a black screen then takes me
to the login screen.

Thanks
Ryan

By 'and made it on gnome-screensaver package' I was only saying that *I* had associated your bug report with
the package gnome-screensave. (Maybe I don't use the best formulation, I am a french native speaker, I could say assign
to package, but we generally use this for assigning a person to a bug report, so I hesitate to use same word for package relation).

Please don't reply directly to the email, but open the link in it in your web program, and answer there.
Here the link:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/127095 it should be added automatically at the end of the email you are reading.

Have you tried to look for files in /var/crash like I requested earlier?
