Bug Description

Updating from 13.04 to 13.10 Firstly the Updater fails then I upgraded from the terminal, upgrade took 3.5 hors and failed with a dpkg error.

Thanks for reporting this bug. The upgrade should have aborted in a way that is safe to reboot.

Unfortunately the Mainlog does not give any indication of what went wrong during the package upgrade.

This bug report was last updated >8 years ago, so it's difficult to tell if the described scenario still applies. I suggest anybody still affected by it to describe the problem again using a supported Ubuntu release (or the in-development one). I'm marking this as Incomplete for now.
