[gutsy] MIDI does not work

Bug Description
In Edgy, USB MIDI interfaces worked. When Feisty Faun came out, it stopped working. Now with the Tribe 3 release of Gutsy, it still doesn't work.
$ amidi -l
Dir Device Name
IO hw:1,0,0 Fastlane MIDI A
IO hw:1,0,1 Fastlane MIDI B
$ amidi -d -p hw:1,0,0
At this point, pressing keys on the MIDI keyboard should cause hex numbers to be emitted. Nothing happens. This works just fine with the Edgy boot CD.

I just now tried this with the Gutsy Gibbon beta CD and MIDI is still broken.
