Hi,

Source package: http://packages.ubuntu.com/source/saucy/arduino

Source package version:
arduino-core:
  Installed: 1:1.0.5+dfsg2-1
  Candidate: 1:1.0.5+dfsg2-1

Ubuntu 13.10 amd64

The file revisions.txt is missing (package: arduino-core), "version.txt" file exists.

Why the original file is not found, other software may rely on it (like arduide, which uses it to check for arduino sdk version) http://www.mupuf.org/project/arduide.html

Is there any reason for that (intended), or it's just a normal bug?

This bug was fixed in the package arduino - 2:1.0.5+dfsg2-4

Technically, this bug is "fix released" since it is fixed in the development release, Utopic Unicorn. If you would like to see this in previous versions, please request a backport:
