I'll attempt to package this. It looks like it uses gtksourceview-1.0 which is no longer in Ubuntu though.

Closing, since source is no longer available, and the project seems abandoned.

Hi,

I am the main developer of Vazaar. I don't know why www.kaskaras.net is gone.

The project is not abandoned. It has been refounded as The Vazaar Project. You can check the code here in launchpad at https://launchpad.net/vazaar.

There is not a stable release yet. I hope to release the first beta in one month or two.

Previous version of vazaar was coded in C and used XML technologies. Now, the project is codec in python and using RDF and other semantic web technologies.

Please, wait for a release sooner than later. I'll need help to make a package.

Thanks for your interest.

Hi again,

Most of the basic code is done although not ready for a release. The application is working but I need to code some of the most basic features yet. Anyway it's time to think in packaging.

I've been looking for documents about how to package with launchpad but I'm not sure which is the best method to package python programas. Sorry, I'm lost here.

So tips or any help would be appreciated.

Regards

I would personally prefer to wait until there's a tarball release before
packaging it. How about coming up with a vazaar-0.1.tar.gz? I could help
you with the packaging then. :-)

Hi Chow and everybody!

I have just released a tarball which you can find in https://launchpad.net/vazaar/+download

I'd be very glad if you might help me to package it. Note that as a prototype it doesn't have a setup.py or similar installation method. Also, I'm studying and finding examples which can help me to set gettext properly.

Please, take into account that it's the 0.4 version Revision 1. I'd be happy if you could keep the current version number.

Notes about installation and dependencies are in the README file.

I have nothing to say except I hope you can use and evaluate the program. Any comment is welcome as I feel sometimes stuck thinking about useful GUI ideas and code improvements.

Kind Regards,
Tomás Vírseda

Thanks for the notification. I look forward to packaging it, though I'll
probably only be free next weekend.
