Bug Description
Binary package hint: debian-installer
kubuntu alternate.
dates 081107, 081207, 081307.
Why haven't you fixed this yet?
It's a 'show stopper'.
Also, there was an install disappear with no explanation
in kubuntu desktop, 081107
These on a Dell, P4 with 'hyperthread'
and on a computer with a VIA chipset, Sempron 2800 CPU.

I didn't fix it immediately because I was on holiday and nowhere near a computer! Your report is unclear, but this sounds like a consequence of bug 131961, and as such should be fixed in today's daily.
