Bug Description

Binary package hint: cecilia

cecilia (2.0.5-2ubuntu2) is a gui for csound, written in Tcl/Tk and as such built for architecture:all
Last csound version has however dropped support for 64 bits architectures:

csound (1:4.23f13-1.1) unstable; urgency=high
.
.
.
  * Drop alpha, ia64, and amd64 from the package architecture list, because
    this version of csound makes many 32-bit assumptions that render the
    package unusable. Closes: #414660.
.
.
.

Therefore the cecilia architecture: all should be changed to reflect it or it will cause unmet dependancies on 64 bits architectures.

This is fixed for gutsy now, according to the build logs.

Which build logs?
If you mark a bug as fix resolved you should at least give the references.

All I can see is that there is no new csound or cecilia package:

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cecilia
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/csound

The last csound build logs still do not show an x86_64 built:

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+builds?build_text=csound&build_state=all

and apt-cache still reports an unmet dep:

Package cecilia version 2.0.5-2ubuntu2 has an unmet dep:
Depends: csound (>= 4.23)

Can you please explain how is this solved?

Would setting the architecture to 'i386, powerpc, sparc' be the fix you envision?

I think that would be the best fix.

Actually, cecilia should only be built on architectures on which csound works.

I'm unfixing this bug. Setting lots of architectures for what should be arch-all doesn't actually solve this issue due to the difficulty of removing arch-all binary packages from the archive, and is not desirable due to additional load on the buildds and the mirrors. See bug #118964 for discussion.
