Bug Description

When the adb connection fails (device crashes or the USB cable gets unplugged) and we are pushing files, the error that gets reported is "free space on /cache/recovery is unknown" (or a value if it can be determined on the device).
This leads to trying workarounds and cleaning /cache/recovery previously whereas the bug can be a kernel panic and reboot.
