Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
I'm in the process of cleaning up the IdeaPool page on the Wiki and came across this bug report: "Wastebasket icon is perhaps too close to the workplace switcher. Many times I click on wastebasket instead of a workspace. Maybe we can place wastebasket as an "icon on the desktop" by default, rather than in the panel?"
I'm reporting it here so that it gets the attention it deserves and can be legitimately removed from the Wiki page.

Thank you for your suggestion, we decided to use a clean desktop by default so we will not add the icon there though
