It is running in alternative graphics mode.

The live CD will boot if you "safe graphics mode", and will boot fine after an install. You'll then need to install the Nvidia drivers, either through the restricted drivers manager, or by following the instructions here: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=11320804

Both methods worked for me.

Audio over HDMI is borked, and audio via the standard 3.5mm jacks is very, very quiet. There's a bug open for the latter, and I'm going to post a bug for the former when I get 5 mins this afternoon.

Hope this helps,

Tony.
